Requirements for Scheduling Road Tests

Grand Prix Driving School must have 20 applicants before we can request a road test date. Once we have 20 eligible students, we submit the applicant list on a Monday.

Officials will book tests according to the availability of a road test examiner. The test will likely be on the weekend.

We can not add you to our list if you have a road test already scheduled. If you want to go with Grand Prix you would need to cancel any test you have scheduled.

We collect applicant names over a two to three-week period. The RMV then requires one week to approve the request and finalize the list. In most cases, you will receive one week's notice of your test date. The test will likely take place the weekend after the test is submitted.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CANCEL.

Refunds: The $165 sponsorship fee paid to Grand Prix is nonrefundable and non-transferable. If you cannot make a date given, regardless of the reason, there will be no refunds. Please get in touch with the office about a general timeline if there is a scheduling conflict BEFORE filling out the form below.

Off-hour road tests are about completing the warm-up and road test with as little friction as possible. Please spend some time practicing your maneuvers and developing good driving habits, according to the Grand Prix Procedure Sheet. Come prepared to take the test.

On the day of the test, you will MEET OUTFRONT OF THE YARMOUTH RMV with your printed application and permit for your warm-up lesson. We will notify you of your appointment time via email or phone. You must not be late. If you are late, you forfeit your warm-up lesson and any refund.

We will do the warm-up and then drop you off so you can walk to the back of the building, check-in under the tent, and wait for your test.

Grand Prix taught my children to drive, and I was thrilled with their classroom and driving experiences. Anytime I had to call the office with questions, the staff was courteous, patient, and always helpful. My son recently went for his driver's license, and we used our car, which we did not realize had a faulty emergency break. So our vehicle was rejected, and he would have had to reschedule his test.

We were fortunate that another Grand Prix student was taking her test at the same time as the Grand Prix car, and Dave immediately offered the Grand Prix car for my son to use. Saved the day! He advised my son for the test and rode with him. After my son finished (and passed) his driver's test, our car did not start due to a dead battery.

Grand Prix saved the day again and jump-started the car. We are very thankful for the expertise in preparing our son for the driver's test and the generosity of Grand Prix in helping him complete his test.
