Have a question about Driver’s Education? Here’s how it works:
Driving Hours Questions For Adult Drivers
  • When can I start driving hours? You can start booking lessons only after 1) filled out an enrollment form 2) you have handed in a copy of your permit,  and 3) have prepaid for the first lesson.
  • How do I book hours? Students can book hours by calling the Hyannis office or by stopping by.
  • How do I cancel hours? If you need to cancel an appointment call during office hours, more than 24 hours before your lesson. If you do not cancel with enough notice you are responsible for paying for the missed lesson.
  • When is the best time to book? Hours get released every Monday at 10am. Students or their families should call the office then to get hours. The schedule is released one week in advance. We do occasionally have last minute appointments. However, the closer to Monday that you can book, the more availability we have.
  • How many hours do I need? As many as you think you need to feel comfortable passing the road test
  • What do I need to bring to my lesson? You must have your learner’s permit and the driving record you will receive on your first lesson.
  • How long is my appointment? Typical Appointments consist of one 50 minute hour. Back to back sessions can be scheduled by request.
  • Where will I be picked up? Your default pick up is your home address. You could arrange to be picked up anywhere on Cape between the bridges and the Orleans rotary. Our cars will not go off cape or any further down than that. Any changes in pick up or drop off location must be made more than 24 hours before the lesson. Pick up and drop off must be in the same town.
