Competency Evaluation

Competency Evaluations are to test the road safety of licensed drivers. You may schedule an evaluation of yourself after surgery or at the recommendation of your physician. Is your nanny or babysitter responsible for transporting your children in their car? Will your new employee be driving your brand new company car?

An Evaluation is a 90 minute session.
Approximately one hour driving and 30 minute conference with you/your family.

One family member/stakeholder is encouraged to accompany the student during the drive. You may invite whoever you wish to the 30min meeting afterward. This is where we will discuss our concerns and give our recommendations. At the end of the meeting the instructor will give you a hard copy evaluation with our findings.

*Grand Prix will not share this evaluation with anyone outside of that meeting*

Prior to the first lesson we need to have received
1) an enrollment form
2) a copy of the permit/license
3) payment $150
4) Optional- any documentation from RMV/Doctor requesting appointment

Competency Policies

Driving lessons are door to door service in most areas, and are by appointment only.
They are scheduled by calling the Office 508-771-1227.
For driving hours we will pick students up at home, school, or work and drop them back off. Restrictions do apply. For Evaluations pick up and drop off must be at the same location.

We require a 48 hour notice if you need to cancel the lesson. Refunds will not be given for “no shows”- late cancellations- or other missed appointments. Students who do not have a valid permit/license on them will be considered a late cancellation.
For all pickups the student must be ready up to ½ hour before the scheduled time.  This allows the instructor flexibility in case of schedule or geographical problems.

To Enroll: Come to the office in Hyannis to fill out the paperwork and make appropriate payments or fill out the form below and call to make payment arrangements or you may pay online here.
